Summer of Expectation!

Well, Howdy again, pardners! Thanks for stopping by!

Abigail here, with another report from the trail!

It's summer, so I'm doing somersaults in here, keeping Mommy and the doctors guessing which end's up all the time! They say it'll be easier if I decide to stand on my head...easier for who? The only way I can get in touch with the outside world is to kick and I've been doing a lot of that lately.

This past week, Mommy, Daddy and I flew over to the Right Coast to spend some time with Granddaddy, Grammy and lots of other folks. I was sad, though, when Daddy pulled a muscle in his back. He says it "runs in his family," but I hope you'll join me in praying he's all better soon!

We spent some time at the River, although Mommy wouldn't touch the water. She said it's not clean enough for me. We had fun, anyway. I especially enjoyed helping Mommy bump the pinball machine with her tummy to score extra points! My favorite part was when she ordered some snow crab legs and chowed down. Pardner, that there's some good eatin'!

On Sunday afternoon, Mommy's friends and relatives threw a shower for us over at Aunt Karen's house (cowgirls only). She had everything prettied up and there was lots of food and presents. Mommy says I have enough duds now so she'll never have to wash any of my clothes! I'll just wear each outfit once and still a new one every day! We played a game at the shower where folks had to use a string and guess how big I've made Mommy's tummy. Cousin Sarah was the big winner and she's as skinny as a rail!

On Sunday night, we had another party at Granddaddy and Grammy's and this time, even the cowboys were invited! We had pizza and salad and lots of other good stuff. The littlest person there was McKinley, my cousin from Memphis. Mommy says I should be outta here in time to play with her, Jayme and Caroline this Christmas! I can't wait!

Well, it's time for me to go to sleep, now that Mommy's up for the day. This way, I can be sure to stay up all night kicking and moving to get Mommy used to doing without sleep!

Happy trails to you 'til we meet again!
