Howdy, ya'll!

Are ya'll ready for some Thanksgiving chow? I know I am! But, I guess I'll have to wait 'til tomorrow!

Just stopped by to post some photos that Miz Lauren took of me when I turned one month old. She does such a great job, don't you think?

Mommy has to work the 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift tonight, tomorrow night and Friday night. So our plans to go out of town for Thanksgiving had to be put on hold. But we'll still be together here in Big D!

Howdy, pardners!

I can smile! :-)

Mommy says the same day she read an article that said it was about time for me to start smiling, I did! How's that for timing? Of course, I only smile at Mommy. Daddy will have to wait. Besides, I like watching all the funny faces he makes trying to get me to smile!

I have to keep quiet on the keyboard today because Mommy's sleeping! She just started back to work last night and is on the midnight shift! She's catching some zzzzz's now and Miz Jody is watching out for me while Daddy's in class (or at work...I can't keep up with him!).

Guess what? Grandpa's going to come see me every Thursday and stay with me all day! We'll have so much fun! I wish my Granddaddy could come, too, but he lives too far away. We're going to see him and Grammy this Christmas, though, and I can't wait!

Aunt Jane-Jane came to see us the other day because her little girl is all grown-up and is thinking about going to college around these parts. I hope she does because I like her mom a whole lot!

Whew! What a busy week I've had!

First of all, some of Mommy's friends at work gave us a "Sip and See" party and I got to meet lots of other little girls. I thought a "Sip and See" was a contest to see if I could use a drinking cup yet! But Mommy says it's a baby shower AFTER the baby is born so everybody can see me while they're sipping tea or something.

Mommy says a shower BEFORE the baby is born is easier because you don't have to worry about feeding times or if the baby will be fussy (who, me?) Anyway, turns out we were LATE to our own Sip and See! I took a long time eating right before and then, I spit up all over my dress! I got a new shirt and jean jumper and I'm going to keep THEM clean!

Daddy and I talke lots of walks and he put me in a snuggly to see what it must have been like to be pregnant like Mommy was. Mommy says it's not the same because I'm only eight pounds now!

I was s'posed to get dedicated at church Sunday, but Mommy didn't feel good, so we had to reschedule. Anyway, I've got a new dress and Bible for when it happens!

I'm still not sure whether to sleep all night long or get up to play after a few hours. Then, sometimes in the day, I'll fall asleep in the STRANGEST places! (see photo below)

Halloween was fun! Mommy made me a Chili Pepper costume out of felt. They sat me up in my bassinet inside our door and they propped the door open so the trick or treaters could see me. Everybody kept saying how cute I was so I guess I was!

See what I mean! I hope my life gets calmer as I get older!
